Based just outside Wombourne in the West Midlands is the superb greyhound training establishment of Lance and Pam Burford.
Iceman racing is the home of a top class greyhound training facility that boasts superb gallops, a canine swimming pool, purpose built kitchen and top of the range kenneling block.
Built upon these sturdy foundations the kennels have been incredibly successful in their 4 years of existence and the hard work and dedication that the Iceman racing team give to their greyhounds has been regularly rewarded on the track.
Hopefully Lance and Pam will be able to work their magic on the Category 1 syndicate greyhounds that will be under their supervision and who knows they too may be able to reach the dizzy heights of Category 1 success under the influence of the Iceman racing team.
Rock It kennels are located in the picturesque village of Overseal, Derbyshire. With over 15 acres of land the kennels can provide the best of freedom for exercise and all round care available to any dog at the kennels. As well as priding itself on the care of the dogs, the kennels have a welcoming, friendly, family orientated atmosphere for its owners and staff to enjoy.
Kirsty Turner is a young ambitious trainer that has recently moved to Monmore Green in 2010. She started off at nearby Perry Barr and with the help of partner Dave Haywood built a thriving kennel of dogs.
Stars like Panther Patrol and Marbeck Wonder got them noticed on the Open scene and when a vacancy became available at the UK's premier greyhound track, they grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
After an initial settling in period at Monmore Green, the kennel has continued to grow both in numbers and quality. Kirsty is now firmly established as a hard working and committed trainer that loves to see all of her dogs run well with a high percentage of winners to runners ratio.
The kennel is usually full but as the saying goes, theres always room for a good one!
